Credit to Steelers free safety Mike Mitchell for pulling off the rare Double Bulletin Board Fodder, talking shit about the Patriots while simultaneously looking past Jacksonville. And possibly even completing the unheard of Triple Bulletin Board Fodder, since I’m pretty sure he also compared Haiti to Hell. But that’s for the good people of our island neighbor to decide. I’m just here to talk football. But that is a bold move for a man who’s coach also got ahead himself before facing the Patriots.

#Steelers HC Mike Tomlin was not shy about his teams’ week 15 matchup with the #Patriots. “There’s going to be fireworks.” pic.twitter.com/juwcC5PKpY — uSTADIUM (@uSTADIUM) November 28, 2017

And we all remember how that worked out. The Steelers were barely able to pull wins out of their asses against two non-playoff teams in the Bengals and Ravens before blowing a lead in the biggest game of the year. Mike Mitchell certainly remembers it, since he was on the field for every Patriots snap, all of Tom Brady’s 298 yards passing and each and every inch of Rob Gronkowski’s 69 yards on the game-winning drive. But hey, he’s a Mike Tomlin-coached guy. Looking past this week’s opponent because “those assholes” own the whole Monopoly board in your head is what his teams do. It’s them following Tomlin’s lead. So I’m not even mad. And I doubt the Patriots are, either. All I know is that if I’m on Sacksonville or the great nation of Haiti, I’m not going to forget this egregious and disrespectful slight.
